Clear your head. Green your neighborhood.

Zeleni Nar is an association that believes every tree has its own story, and that it is our duty to plant those stories. We are devoted to greening urban and rural areas, protecting nature, and building environmental awareness. We run campaigns, plant trees, tidy public spaces, and educate the community, because a healthy society starts with healthy roots. Our mission is to connect people with nature, not as onlookers but as active agents of change.

We plant trees and green public spaces

We organize actions to plant trees and shrubs where they are missing: in schoolyards, parks, along roads, and on neglected plots. We tidy green spaces together with the community and raise the standard of urban and rural life through concrete, physical change.

We run education for children, youth, and adults

We hold workshops in schools, local centers, and outdoors. We teach people how to plant, recycle, save energy, and understand the consequences of climate change. We prepare teaching materials, educational posters, brochures, and guides that can be used in formal education too.

We create eco campaigns, guides, and video content

Our work lives online too: we create digital handbooks, video tutorials on planting and composting, social media campaigns, and e-books about the natural and cultural treasures of Serbia. Our goal is for environmental messages to reach the widest possible audience, simply, freely, and accessibly.

We build a network of cooperation and volunteering

We connect with schools, municipalities, other associations, and international partners to develop shared projects. We support volunteer initiatives, launch green festivals, and organize contests for the best environmental ideas, because you cannot defend nature alone.

We hold workshops, connect schools, and build a network of partners who want long-term environmental impact, no populism, just action.

Zeleni Nar grew out of a simple idea: not to talk about the city, but to work in it. Instead of arguing about who is to blame for a neglected plot, it is easier to head out with a spade and a sapling.

By profession I work on digital products, so the association's website is built to be a tool, not a display case: a two-minute pollution report from your phone, live tracking of air, rivers, and fires, and a record that shows which reports were actually resolved.

Everything we do for schools and local communities is free. If you want to get involved, all you have to do is reach out, there is always work for both hands and head.

You do not have to be an expert. It is enough to reach out, we will show you the rest in the field.

Come to a planting action The tools and saplings are ours. You just show up, and we show you everything on the spot. Who we work with in the field

A tree on public land is not a matter of goodwill: every site has its manager, and every planting its permit. Before each action we request approval and align the timing with the institution that manages the space, and we have worked this way from day one.

JKP „Zelenilo — Beograd"

From them we request approval for every location in the city and agree on which species goes where. Without that approval, nothing is planted on public land in Belgrade, so this is the first call before every event.

Privredno društvo „Srbijašume"

Through their forest estates we arrange afforestation and the restoration of burned areas outside cities. They manage state forests across about 890,000 hectares, along with 56 protected areas.

JP „Vojvodinašume"

The same work in Vojvodina, based in Petrovaradin. We reach out to them when an event goes into lowland forests and shelterbelts.

Zavod za zaštitu prirode Srbije

When a location is in a protected area, their conditions are mandatory and we obtain them before heading out. Without that opinion, nothing is planted in a nature park or reserve, not even a native species.

Uprava za šume

A body within the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management. Afforestation programs and funds meant for growing new forests go through it, so this is where we follow calls and conditions.

When an event goes onto steep or hard-to-reach terrain, their assessment is authoritative and we follow it. Volunteer safety comes before the number of saplings planted.

Alongside them, every action involves city administrations, local community councils, and schools from the neighborhood where we plant. If you work at one of these institutions and have a site that needs planting, get in touch, we come out with volunteers and tools.
